Quipcare brought professional dental care directly into the quip app, turning a connected-toothbrush subscription into a 360-degree oral health service. I led the acquisition of Toothpic, a Dublin teledentistry company, and owned its integration and platform strategy. The work connected quip 40 million-member base to a network of 30,000 dentists for remote assessment and virtual consultation, backed by insurance coverage and direct partnerships with insurers to support quality of care. The result paired the daily at-home oral-care experience and its data with on-demand access to real dentists and the coverage to make that care affordable, all in one app.

## Challenge

quip had built a 40-million-member connected-toothbrush subscription, but professional dental care lived entirely outside the app. Periodic check-ups, separately-booked cleanings, and insurance billing all happened elsewhere. The opportunity was to bring real dentists, real assessment, and the coverage to make it affordable into the same product members already used daily.

## Impact

Led the acquisition of Toothpic (a Dublin teledentistry company), owned its integration into quip, and shaped the overall platform strategy. The result moved quip from product-and-subscription to platform: a 360-degree oral health service connecting members to 30,000 dentists for remote assessment and virtual consultation, backed by direct insurance partnerships that supported both quality of care and affordability.
